ShieldNet Home Security LLC is a Managed Service Provider that was founded by Brady Jackson, a prior computer science student and former police officer. Brady found his love for computers when he was young and built his first computer when he was just twelve years old. Between his later middle school years and early high school years he began to become interested in hacking. Brady would focus on learning about how computer systems were vulnerable and how to secure them. He did a lot of testing on his network and developed his skills. He went into the IT program in high school and competed in a CompTIA competition alongside another student from his class for coding a website from scratch. After graduating high school, Brady went to Pittsburgh Technical College for computer science with a focus in cyber security. He completed two years of school but couldn’t help shake the feeling of wanting to do something more and serve his community. After changing majors to criminal justice and getting his degree he went on to become a police officer. He did that for a couple of years before changing over to private sector security jobs. After leaving the police force he created a small company called “Computers to End Celiac”. The company focused on building custom gaming computers and donating a portion of the profits to fund celiac disease research. A disease that Brady has. Unfortunately, due to the rise of artificial intelligence and data centers, it made the cost of computer parts much more expensive. Brady would’ve had to increase the cost of his computers to cover the high prices of components. Something he did not want to do as he believes in creating quality products that everyone can afford. Now he is focusing on building and managing ShieldNet Home Security LLC. A managed home internet security company. Instead of being a business that simply removes viruses, Brady wanted to create something proactive for every day internet users. Something that could protect people especially the less tech-savvy and seniors from scams and malware. That idea is what led to ShieldNet Home Security being born.
